Domains

food_search_restaurant_items, food_get_item_options, and food_get_items_options support an optional domain parameter: food (default), shops (for specialty shops), or quik (for grocery). Use this to look inside a merchant from a different vertical. The other search tools (food_dish_search, food_merchant_search, food_get_restaurant_menu) also take domain, but only report food (default) as a documented value.

Flow
  1. Discover restaurants with food_merchant_search (by name/cuisine) or food_dish_search (by dish), or food_personalized_search for the user's own usual restaurants — use food_get_user_discovery_filters first if you need available filter/sort values.
  2. Pull the full menu with food_get_restaurant_menu, or search within one restaurant with food_search_restaurant_items.
  3. For customizable items, call food_get_item_options (single) or food_get_items_options (batch) before adding to cart — cart_add_item/cart_add_items need the returned catalog_option_ids.
  4. For scheduled orders, check food_get_scheduling_slots then confirm with food_check_slot_availability before passing the slot to checkout.
  5. Hand off to Cart & Checkout to build the basket and place the order.

See the Order food journey for the full chain from search to checkout.
