Shops (Specialty Retail Merchants)

Shops tools handle specialty retail merchants and items. Shops is distinct from Quik (dark store grocery) and operates through specialized merchants.

global_search	Search shops merchants and items across brands	query, coords, optional location? (area/address/saved-location name, only if the user names one), page?, limit?, tag_ids[]?, exclude_brand_ids[]?

Flow

1. Discover merchants/items across brands with global_search (returns merchants and matching items per merchant).
2. Search inside one merchant with search_groceries_items, passing its merchant_id from step 1.
3. Build the basket with create_grocery_cart_with_quantities (same merchant_id), or add items directly with cart_add_item/cart_add_items (pass domain=shops, the default for these merchants).
4. Inspect and price with cart_get_basket/cart_get_basket_price, then check out with cart_checkout (domain=shops) — see Cart & Checkout.
5. Track with get_activities/track_activity using activity_type=shops.

Shops Integration

Shops merchants can also be accessed through food domain tools (food_search_restaurant_items, food_get_item_options, food_get_items_options) by specifying domain=shops.
